Who it’s for

For doctors, and the clinics they work in

Doctors

Dictate clinical notes in Armenian, review the text and sign it off. Keep your own patient list and your own shortcuts, called variables.

Clinics

Process recordings on your own premises: MedDict’s transcription engine runs on a server in your network, and names are muted there.

How it works

From your voice to a signed-off note

Speak instead of typing. MedDict does the rest in the background, so you can see the next patient while a recording is processed.

  1. 01

    Record

Start from the main screen or from a patient’s page. Pause and resume as often as you like: it stays one recording. Files from a voice recorder can be uploaded too.

  2. 02

    Transcribe

MedDict turns your Armenian speech into text. On premise, a speech model trained for Armenian does this on a server in your clinic.

  3. 03

    Mute names

    On premise

Names of people are found and muted in the audio. You check the highlighted words, tap any other word to mute it, then tap “Submit”.

  4. 04

    Improve

Google’s Gemini AI writes a clean final transcript. On premise it hears only the muted audio, and MedDict puts the names back afterwards.

  5. 05

    Review

Edit the text, then sign it off with “Mark reviewed”. Each note gets a title made from its clinical terms.

  6. 06

    Export

Save the finished note as PDF or Word, with its labels in your app language.

The AI hears muted audio, not names

In On premise mode, MedDict finds people’s names in the recording and mutes them before anything is sent to the AI. Nothing is sent until you tap “Submit”.

Stays with MedDict

  • Original recording
  • Names
  • Transcripts
  • Patient records
Muted audio only, after you tap “Submit”

Cloud AIGoogle Gemini

  • Muted audio
  • Returns clean text
  • Names muted automatically

First names, surnames and patronymics of patients, relatives and doctors are found and muted.

  • Anything else, with a tap

ID numbers, phone numbers and dates are not muted automatically. Tap any word to mute it before you send.

  • Checked before sending

MedDict listens to the muted audio again. If a name can still be heard, sending stays blocked.

  • Names put back by MedDict

Names return to the finished text once the AI is done. A name placed with less confidence is flagged for you to check before sign-off.

  • Only you see your data

Each account sees only its own recordings and patients. MedDict administrators see counts and usage, never transcripts, audio or patients’ identities.

  • Private storage

Original recordings are kept privately on the MedDict server and played through private links that expire after 15 minutes.

In Cloud mode nothing is muted: the whole recording goes to the AI as it is, and the app reminds you not to say patient names or other personal details.

Two ways to work

Choose where recordings are processed

Pick a mode when you create your account and switch any time in Settings. Each recording keeps the mode it was made in.

On premise

Names are found and muted before anything goes to the AI.

  • MedDict’s transcription engine runs on a server in your clinic’s network
  • You check what is muted, then send
  • Names come back into the text and are checked before sign-off

Cloud

The recording goes to the AI as it is, and the final text comes back ready to review.

  • Nothing to set up at the clinic
  • No checking step: the text arrives ready to edit
  • Don’t say patient names or other personal details

Features

Everything a dictation needs

  • Pause and resume

Stop for a phone call, then carry on. However many pauses, it stays one recording.

  • Trim before sending

Drag two handles to cut the start and end of a recording.

  • Upload files

Bring in recordings from a voice recorder: WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG, FLAC or WebM, up to 20 at a time.

  • Patients

Your own patient list, sorted by surname in Armenian alphabetical order. Attach a recording to a patient at any time.

  • Variables

Say “normal ECG” and the note reads “Sinus rhythm, normal axis.” Your own shortcuts, applied to every new transcript.

  • Search and filters

Find a note by its words or by a patient’s name. Filter by date, length, status and patient.

  • Automatic titles

Each note gets a title made from the clinical terms in its text.

  • Carry on working

Leave a recording while it’s processed. An in-app notice tells you when the text is ready.

  • Three app languages

Use the app in English, Russian or Armenian. Notes stay in the language you dictated.

FAQ

Questions doctors ask

Does a patient’s name ever go to Google?

In On premise mode, Google’s Gemini AI receives only the muted audio, and only after you tap “Submit”. MedDict puts the names back into the text itself. In Cloud mode the recording goes as it is, so don’t say names or other personal details.

What if a name isn’t highlighted?

Tap it on the “Check what is muted” screen and it will be muted. Until you send, you can mute or unmute any word.

Are diagnoses or ID numbers hidden automatically?

No. Only names of people are muted automatically. Mute anything else, such as an ID number, a phone number or a date, with a tap before sending.

How long does processing take?

A few minutes per step. You don’t have to wait on the screen: an in-app notice tells you when the transcript is improved.

Can I dictate in Russian?

Not at the moment: MedDict transcribes Armenian speech only. The app itself is available in English, Russian and Armenian.

Who can see my recordings?

Only you. Each account sees only its own recordings and patients. MedDict administrators see counts and usage, but not transcripts, audio or patients’ identities.

How long are recordings kept?

Until you delete them. Nothing is deleted automatically, and deleting a recording is permanent.

Can I use it on both my phone and my computer?

Yes. MedDict works in the browser, and the phone app has the same screens and wording. You can stay signed in on several devices.
